Presentation File
Use the Presentation File option to broadcast your existing PowerPoint (PPTX) files. Manager converts the slides from your PPTX file and broadcasts them to selected devices as a playlist.
Advanced license required
This feature is only available for devices assigned with an Advanced license. For more information, see the articles below:

Before broadcasting
Important reminders to keep in mind before adding your PowerPoint file:
-
Only 1 Presentation file allowed per broadcast
When broadcasting a layout with more than one section, only one section can contain a Presentation File at a time. Adding a Presentation File to a new section will clear the other section of that file.
-
Max 40 slides per presentation file
A maximum of 40 slides can be converted per presentation file.Ā
-

Conversion results
Manager generates new files when converting a PowerPoint file for broadcast. You can find these files in the following locations:
-
ResourcesĀ
All slides are converted to images and saved in a folder named after the PPTX file.
-
PlaylistĀ
A new playlist is created and takes the same name as the PPTX file name, plus an added random string.
Post-conversion behavior
Additional details to keep in mind during and after conversion:
-
Conversion into a playlistĀ
Manager converts each slide into an image and adds them to a playlist.Ā- Broadcasting starts only after this file conversion is complete.Ā
- To broadcast the same PPTX file in the future, use theĀ Playlist feature. Running the Presentation File feature again with the same PPTX file will create duplicate files and a new playlist.
-
Default duration per slideĀ
The default display time for each slide is 20 seconds. To edit this duration, go to the playlist generated for this file and adjust theĀ Duration for the desired slides.
-
Conversion runtimeĀ
Conversion time depends on file size and content. If you experience long conversion times or timeouts, reduce the file size. Certain contents, such as GIF file formats in slides, may also slow conversion times.
