How to get Advanced licenses

A Manager Advanced license unlocks access to advanced management functions. Admins have several ways of acquiring these Advanced licenses.

Activating at least one Manager Advanced license unlocks additional features.

Acquire Advanced licenses

The sections below outline methods of acquiring Advanced licenses that you can apply to your devices.


via a Free trial

After Entity creation, Entity owners and admins can activate a free 30-day trial of Manager Advanced. After this trial has ended, they can purchase Advanced licenses to continue using all the advanced features.


This option is only available for new users of Manager who have never activated the trial. To activate the 30-day free trial of Manager Advanced, follow the steps below:

  1. Click  Menu  to open the left sidepanel.
  2. Click  Manager Advanced  from the options shown.
  3. Click Get Free Trial  on the right panel.

  4. The Viewsonic Entity portal opens in a new tab. If prompted, login as the admin of the Entity account that will avail of the free trial.

  5. After login, go to the Subscriptions  section.
    1. Locate the Manager Advanced tile. 
    2. Click the Activate trial › link.
    3. Click Confirm.


Note that you can only avail of the free trial once. Back in Manager, verify that:

  • Several advanced features offered by Manager are unlocked
  • You now have 20 Advanced Licenses to distribute among your devices

Purchase Advanced licenses

Once the free trial has ended, Manager reverts back to the basic interface. Admins will need to purchase Advanced licenses to continue using Advanced features. 


  1. Click  Menu  to open the left sidepanel.
  2. Click  Manager Advanced  from the options shown.
  3. Click Purchase Licenses on the right panel.

  4. On the Purchase Advanced Licenses  popup, provide the following details: 
    1. Entity Name
    2. First Name
    3. Last Name
    4. Email
    5. Country
    6. Add a message (Optional) 

  5. Click Send.


Allow some time for ViewSonic to process the request. A ViewSonic representative may contact you for additional details. Once the transaction is complete, Entity admins and owners will receive a notification email.

For users with an already existing Entity account, you may also contact a ViewSonic representative to purchase Advanced Licenses.


  1. Launch the contact form here.
  2. Under the I'd like to... dropdown, select Request Manager Advanced free trial. 
  3. Alternatively, you can reach out to your ViewSonic representative or your Entity's Managed Service Provider (MSP).


Allow some time for ViewSonic to process the request. A ViewSonic representative may contact you for additional details. Once the transaction is complete, Entity admins and owners will receive a notification email. 



For Entity accounts only

Note that Manager is available to Entity accounts only. If your organization has not yet signed up for an Entity account, refer to the article below to start the sign up process:



Check license details

To check license details, use the Subscriptions section on the ViewSonic Entity page. To access the Subscriptions page in your entity account, perform the following:


  1. Navigate to the following URL:
  2. Click Sign in on the upper right.
  3. On the next page, use your credentials to sign-in.
  4. The next screen should show your Entity page.
  5. Click Subscriptions on the side panel. 

  6. On the Subscriptions  section:
    1. Locate the Manager Advanced tile. 
    2. Click the View detail › link.
    3. The next page should show you several details about your Manager Advanced licenses. Review the details of your licenses. Pay attention to when these licenses will expire.
